The situation

A condo home in Bukit Merah with three pieces of upholstered furniture that were due for a proper deep clean.

The armchairs had accumulated mould and sweat, particularly from regular use. While some of the buildup was visible, there was also plenty sitting deeper within the upholstery that wasn't immediately obvious.

The customer wanted the furniture properly cleaned and refreshed rather than simply having the surface wiped down.

What we did

We did our signature deep cleaning with shampoo injection and extraction, and finished off with a high heat steam sanitisation.

The extraction worked through the three pieces of upholstery and managed to remove a lot of dirt, as seen in the dirty extraction water.

One of the armchairs had mould and sweat buildup. We used the high heat steam treatment to help lighten the affected areas. While not every mark could be completely removed, the mould-related discolouration was visibly lightened.

The result

The three-seater sofa and two armchairs were thoroughly deep cleaned and steam-treated in one hour.

The mould and sweat buildup on the affected chair was lightened, while a significant amount of dirt was removed from the upholstery.

The customer was very happy with the results — especially after seeing how much dirt had been extracted from furniture that didn't necessarily look that dirty beforehand.
