Bukit Timah Condo Upholstery Deep Cleaning Project
A six-month-old sofa deep cleaned in 35 minutes — a Bukit Timah loft home with two dogs, including a sofa that had been affected by a dog vomiting on it but still looked relatively new.
The situation
A loft home in Bukit Timah shared by its owner and two dogs. The sofa was only six months old, so it wasn't particularly old or worn.
But regular use by both the owner and the dogs had already taken its toll. On top of the everyday dirt that had accumulated, one of the dogs had also vomited on the sofa, making a proper deep clean necessary.
It's a good example of how even newer furniture can pick up plenty of dirt quickly when it's being used every day — especially in a home with pets.
What we did
We did our signature deep cleaning with shampoo injection and extraction, and finished off with a high heat steam sanitisation.
The sofa was only six months old, but the extraction still managed to pull out a considerable amount of dirt from the upholstery.
We also focused on the area affected by the dog's accident as part of the deep clean, while the high heat steam sanitisation provided an additional treatment for the upholstery.
The result
The sofa was deep cleaned and steam-treated in just 35 minutes.
The dog-related mess was addressed, while the extraction removed a surprising amount of everyday dirt from a sofa that was still relatively new.
It's a useful reminder that furniture doesn't have to be years old before it needs a proper deep clean.
