Six dining chairs deep cleaned in 35 minutes — a spotless HDB home belonging to a young family, where the chairs looked clean but still gave up a surprising amount of dirt during extraction.
The situation
A clean and well-kept HDB home in Compassvale, with a young family living in it. There were no obvious signs that the dining chairs were particularly dirty, and the house itself was almost spotless.
But dining chairs are used every day, often during meals, and the fabric can gradually pick up dirt and buildup without showing much on the surface.
Mrs A had six dining chairs that needed a proper deep clean, so we came in to give all six a thorough refresh.
What we did
We used deep extraction and steam cleaning on all six dining chairs.
The extraction worked through the fabric to loosen and remove dirt that had accumulated from regular everyday use. We then followed with steam cleaning as an additional step.
Despite how clean the house and chairs looked beforehand, the extraction pulled out quite a bit of dirt from the upholstery.
The result
All six dining chairs were deep cleaned and steam-treated in just 35 minutes.
The biggest surprise was the amount of dirt extracted from chairs in an otherwise almost spotless home. It's a good reminder that fabric furniture can hold onto everyday buildup even when the home itself looks exceptionally clean.
