The situation
A Hougang HDB home with a full list of fabric due for attention: three dining chairs, a sofa bed, a mattress, an ottoman, and a padded fabric bed frame.
What we did
Every item got shampoo deep cleaning extraction followed by steam sanitisation. The sofa bed and dining chairs were the most-used pieces in the home and took the most work. The fabric bed frame is one we don't get asked for often — the padded headboard and frame collect dust the same way any upholstered surface does, even though it's rarely on anyone's cleaning list. The mattress and ottoman rounded out the job, each getting the same extraction-then-steam treatment.
The result
Six items, all steamed, all showing the same thing — fabric holds more than it looks like it does, headboards included. As always, the household got a video of their own dirty water from the job — proof of exactly what came out, not a promise.
