Two sofas and one office chair deep cleaned in 1.5 hours — a Tanglin bungalow where kids and cats had made the furniture well-used and noticeably dirty, with extraction water coming out almost black.
The situation
A spacious bungalow along Tanglin Road, but with the kind of everyday activity that can take its toll on fabric furniture. With kids and cats regularly using the sofas, dirt and grime had built up over time.
Ms A had two sofas and one office chair that needed a proper deep clean. The furniture had seen plenty of everyday use, and the sofas in particular had accumulated enough dirt to warrant more than a surface clean.
What we did
We used a combination of deep extraction and steam cleaning across all three items.
The extraction process worked through the upholstery to loosen and remove the dirt that had built up within the fabric. We then followed with steam cleaning as an additional step across the items.
The extraction water was particularly telling — it came out almost black, showing just how much dirt had been sitting in the upholstery despite not necessarily being visible from the surface.
The result
The two sofas and office chair were thoroughly deep cleaned and steam-treated, with the accumulated dirt and grime lifted from the upholstery.
The biggest reveal was the extraction water. What came out was almost black, giving Ms A a clear look at just how much had been sitting in the furniture.
The entire job was completed in 1.5 hours.
